Insol-MC3X media converters are designed to interconnect Ethernet 10BASE-T (PoE) and 10BASE-T1L (PoDL) network segments in various configurations. Available in multiple form factors (DIN rail or BOX enclosures), these devices can also function as 10BASE-T1L line repeaters with either external power (220 VAC) or PoDL support, extending data transmission distance by 1,500 meters or more.
The Insol-MC30 media converter is designed to interconnect Ethernet 10BASE-T and 10BASE-T1L network segments. In this configuration, the 10BASE-T1L PoDL segment can be powered either from the RJ-45 PoE port or from an external 24 VDC power source.
The Insol-MC31 media converter is designed to interconnect Ethernet 10BASE-T1L and 10BASE-T network segments. In this configuration, both the Insol-MC31 media converter and the 10BASE-T PoE segment can be powered either from the 10BASE-T1L PoDL line or from an external 24 VDC power source..
The primary difference between the Insol-MC30 and Insol-MC31 models is the power delivery direction:

The Insol-MC32 media converter is designed to interconnect two Ethernet 10BASE-T1L network segments and functions as an interface repeater, extending data transmission distance by 1,500 meters. In this configuration, both the Insol-MC32 media converter and the 10BASE-T1L PoDL out segment can be powered either from the 10BASE-T1L PoDL in line or from an external 220 VAC power source.
The Insol-MC33 media converter is supplied as a printed circuit board (PCB) designed for integration into video cameras to connect them to Ethernet 10BASE-T1L network segments. In this configuration, both the Insol-MC33 media converter and the video camera are powered directly from the 10BASE-T1L PoDL line.

In this setup, both the Insol-MC31 media converter and the 10BASE-T PoE segment can be powered either from the 10BASE-T1L PoDL line or from an external 24 VDC power source. This solution delivers power and data transmission at 10 Mbps over a total distance of 1,700 meters (100 m 10BASE-T PoE + 1,500 m 10BASE-T1L PoDL + 100 m 10BASE-T PoE).
